Manawatu Scottish Society and the Canterbury Caledonian Society Pipe Band won the Medley and MSR competitions respectively at the annual Palmerston North Square Day contest, considered to be the first major outing for Grade 1 Bands. All of them, apart from the newly upgraded City of Dunedin Pipe Band, were in attendance. St Andrews College won Grade 2 uncontested, whilst Manawatu Scottish Society #2 won Grade 3 and Scotch College (Melbourne) won Grade 4. (more…)
