
The World Champion Pipe Band, Simon Fraser University, have pulled out of their proposed New Zealand trip. This was supposed to be their second trip to New Zealand, after a successful concert in 2001. It is reported that numbers able to make the trip was the main factor in not being able to attend.
Brendon Eade from Hamilton this weekend completed a rare triple, winning not only the prestigious Silver Chanter, but the A Grade and the Former Winners Clasp in the same weekend. (more…)
J Reid Maxwell and Sam Young are confirmed as overseas adjudicators for the Palmerston North Square Day Competition. Entry forms are out and bands are invited to enter now.
Mark Weir from Wellington took the top honours on the weekend, winning the overall aggregate at the Spring Solos @ StAC competition.
