The Annual Winter Storm competition, held in Kansas, completed the major solo events on the weekend, with Alex Gandy, Andrew Bonar and Doug McRae taking the Ceol Beag, Gold Medal and Silver Medal respectively. Derek Cooper of SFUPB won the Drumming.

Over 500 individual votes were cast in the PBNews Best of 2010, voting for the best Solo Piper, best Drummer, best Pipe Band, best Solo contest and best Band contest.

Greg Wilson won overall at the 2011 NZ A Grade Open Championships, held at Waipu in the weekend. Stuart Easton was the overall winner of the Waipu Highland Games. Stuart won the March, Strathspey and Reel and the Piobaireachd. Greg Wilson, Martin Frewen and Marion Horsburgh won the Strathspey and Reel, the Hornpipe and Jig and the March respectively. Liam Kernaghan won the Under 21, and William Rowe won the B Grade.
