Also in consideration:

  • James Laughlin
Producing New Zealand’s first juvenile world champion-winning drum corps, as well as leading New Zealand’s current Grade 1 Champion drum corps and running a very successful business, James Laughlin -is- drumming in New Zealand. There would be very few who could touch him this year.
  • Elliot Gardner
Elliot Gardner is the “New Zealand” LD of the Manawatu Scottish, and has already left his mark upon the results sheets, placing first at Palmerston North in 2011 for the MSR. He also takes huge responsibilities in teaching and mentoring drummers from the Lower North Island.
  • Tom Hill
Undefeated in 2013 in the solos, Tom is the current South Island Solo Drumming Champion and Victoria Square Day Champion. Tom also teaches solo drumming to drummers in Christchurch, and made a significant impact in St Andrews College when he taught there in 2013.
