Silver Chanter

Ian Lyons has taken the Silver Chanter 2008 out this evening, with  John MacColls Welcome to Kilbowie Cottage, Inverary Castle and The Rejected Suitor.

Harrison Hawke (Christchurch) placed second, playing John McDonald of Glencoe, Susan McLeod and The Sheepwife.

The Clasp

Stuart Easton won the Double MSR Clasp at the prestigious Labour Weekend contest held on Sunday Night. Stuart played The Lonach Gathering, The Craigs of Sterling, The Shepards Crook, Susan McLeod, The Muckle Dram and Ca’ the Ewes.

Richard Hawke placed second, and the 2008 Silver Chanter winner Ian Lyons placed 3rd.

Other players were Marion Horsburgh, Geoffrey Hallberg, Ian Robertson and Jamie Hawke.

Overall

Ross McCrindle (Scotland) took most points A Grade, Harrison Hawke took most points B Grade, Angus Hawke took C Grade and Reuben won D Grade. Harrison Hawke also took the Under 21 title for 2008, winning the contest by over 14 points.
