According to Pipes|Drums, the Strathclyde Police Force has allowed the world-reknowned Strathclyde Police Pipe Band to continue to compete at the highest level.

Since the news broke that Strathclyde may never compete again, there has been an online revolt against the Strathclyde Police organisation. Several petitions and groups and blogs have been set up to support the band, which had the esteemed “6 in a row” record.

According to Pipes|Drums, the correspondence stated that “The pipe band will continue to compete in major competitions and support community events throughout the force area to spread the public reassurance message of Strathclyde Police.”
