Updated: Hawke, Welsh, Easton success at Hastings

Richard Hawke, Davey Welsh and Stuart Easton won the top honours at the Hastings Highland Games on Easter Weekend. Richard Hawke won his first Clasp after winning the Gold Medal in the mid 1990′s. Davey Welsh took his first top New Zealand prize by winning the Gold Medal in a class of 17. Stuart Easton claimed the overall A Grade prize, with Brendon Eade, Richard Hawke and Dr Angus McDonald.

In the other prizes, Liam Kernaghan won the NZ Championship Under 21 Piobaireachd, and in the Silver Medal, Ben Murray took the top honours in a large class. Callum Gilchrist won the B Grade most points and Piers Dover won the C Grade.
