Over $10,000 in Prize Money for Timaru Champs

Iain Blakely announced today a total of more than $10,000 for the Timaru Championships in 2011. “We are able to confirm prize money will be awarded for South Pacific Championship winners and placegetters at the contest in Timaru on 4 and 5 March 2011. “

This would not have been possible without the generous support of our contest by Pub Charity. We ask all bands to consider where possible using Pub Charity venues in their areas for social functions. The prizes are detailed below. Please take this as an invitation to bands and their supporters to turn up the heat at Timaru and make this the most exciting contest ever!

For Grade 1, first prize will beĀ  $2,000.00, with second being $1,500.00 and third $1,000.00. Grades 2-4 will received $1,000.00 for first, $750.00 for second, and$500.00 for third.

Juvenile will be $500.00 $300.00 $200.00

The South Pacific Champion Drum Major will receive $500.
