The Silver Chanter

Awarded annually insce 1977, the Silver Chanter is the premier light music competition in New Zealand solo piping. Competitiors must submit three Marches, three Strathspeys and three Reels, and the adjudicators pick one of each to play. The winner receives the Silver Chanter, worth over $1000.
