Stuart Easton won the overall Open prize at the annual Waipu Highland Games, held each year on the 1st of January. The prizes were shared about the Open players, with four different people winning over the six events. Blair Hodson won the B Grade aggregate, and Scott Marshall took the Under 21 Most Points. Louis Newman of Christchurch won the C Grade aggregate and Campbell Wilson – Greg Wilsons son – won most points D Grade.
